ROWSE’S DRUG STORE, Beaver. Now that was the place to enjoy a malt, flavored coke or vanilla phosphate with a friend on a soda fountain stool or sitting at an ice cream parlor table.

Beaver was the greatest place for a child to grow up.

I remember him at Walmart when he used to give stickers as a greeter and living in monaca down the block from his apartment in monaca. I miss those days.

ABC DRIVE IN.
Zayre’s
Northern lights were my favorite place as riding bikes to Hills dept store & buying a Pretzel, or JCPenney and even going back to my younger days Thrift Drug on the corner where ($ Tree is located now) had great canteen/cafe however your parents pronounced it. The best (real milkshakes) they gave you the stainless steel cup with your order.
Wish it would have more stores today, who knows what its future holds!

Pat’s Amoco in Monaca – I miss full service gas stations. My Dad – Pat McDonald owned this station on the corner of 9th St. and Washington Ave. He was (and still is) truly a caring and honest man who went over and above the service he gave to his customers!
